The Humanitarian Simulation Exercise (SimEx) conducted in Timor-Leste in December 2024, aimed to evaluate and strengthen the emergency preparedness and response capacities of key stakeholders at national and sub-national levels. The exercise was co-hosted by Timor-Leste¡¯s Civil Protection Authority (CPA) and the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ (WFP), bringing together 81 participants from five municipalities as well as national entities. The main objective was to test the National Civil Protection Emergency Plan through experiential learning activities that simulated a real-time disaster scenario involving localized flooding and a tropical cyclone.
